Ripple Payments Partners With Zand Bank & Mamo for XRP Cross-Border Transactions in UAE AllinCrypto May 20, 2025
Ripple (XRP) has formed new partnerships with Zand Bank and Mamo in the United Arab Emirates after securing new payment licenses in the region.
The new partnership will allow Ripple to offer Ripple Payments solutions to Zand Bank and Mamo, who will both utilize blockchain technology for cross-border payments.
The news comes as Ripple became the first blockchain-enabled payments provider to gain a license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).
Ripple Payments enters UAE markets
In the UAE, Ripple has become the first blockchain payment provider in the region. Along with their DFSA license, Ripple is able to handle end-to-end crypto-based cross-border payments.

In partnership with Zand Bank and Mamo, both banks will offer Ripple payment services to customers. In a recent press release, the Head of Treasury and Markets at Zand Bank said:
“Our collaboration with Ripple highlights our commitment to empowering global payment solutions through blockchain technology.
Moreover, we are excited to soon launch an AED-backed stablecoin, designed to further enhance seamless and efficient transactions in the rapidly evolving digital economy.”
Ripple Payments is able to cover a large part of the globe, offering cheap, fast, cross-border payment services. The platform currently processes more than $70 billion in volume and is now available in Mexico, Australia, Switzerland, Brazil, Dubai, and the US.

XRP expands Payments presence across the world
Since the SEC withdrew their appeal against Ripple, the firm has increased the speed at which it aims to deliver on its past promises.
With few regulatory limitations, Ripple has treaded the globe and formed new partnerships and deals with governments to bring blockchain tech to the traditional financial world.
In May 2025, Ripple President Monica Long met with His Highness Ahmed bin Saeed at the Dubai Fintech Summit. The firm has also formed a new partnership with Mercy Corps Ventures to help Colombian farmers boost their incomes.
