From the coffee farm itself straight to the cups of consumers, the supply chain of Lavazza is being recorded on Algroand, which became a top 3 RWA network

The recording of coffee on the Algroand network adds a layer of transparency that has not been seen in recent industries before the integration of blockchain technology.

With Lavazza’s supply chain being on Algorand, the network has become a go-to for real-world asset tokenization with real estate, carbon credits, and traditional stocks being brought onchain.

On 14 May 2025, the Algorand network flipped Stellar Lumens XLM to become the top 3 network with the most real-world asset value.

Despite only including Exodus’s EXOD tokenized stock, Algorand has climbed to 3rd place, just below Etheruem and ZKSync, an Ethereum layer 2.

If the RWA.xyz platform were to include all of Algorand’s real-world asset tokenizations, the network could come close to flipping Etheruem and being crowned the number one network for RWA value.

Tracking RWA stats is RWA.xyz, led in collaboration with the Tokenized Asset Coalition (TAC), whose executive director recently spoke at the SEC Crypto Roundtable on the importance of regulatory balance in crypto.

Jeannie Levin joins Algorand Foundation as US crypto policies enter new era

Recently, the Algorand foundation welcomed Jennie Levin as Chief Legal & Operations Officer, who will help shape ALGO’s position in a new pro-crypto US.

The new addition to the team came as long-time CTO John Woods announced his plans to depart from the Foundation.

Looking forward, Algorand has been taking tokenization seriously, with the network also being used to facilitate professional chess credentials as part of a collaboration with World Chess.
