How Ripple Prime Will Integrate XRP & RLUSD Into Institutional Finance AllinCrypto October 27, 2025
After completing its acquisition of Hidden Road, a fast-growing non-bank prime broker, Ripple has rebranded the firm as Ripple Prime.
With this acquisition and rebranding, Ripple has become the first crypto company to own and operate a multi-asset prime broker, bridging traditional finance and digital assets under one roof.
Ripple Prime offers institutional clients an integrated suite of services, including clearing, financing, derivatives, swaps, all enhanced by Ripple’s XRP Ledger infrastructure with stablecoin integrations. Let’s explore how Ripple Prime will work.
Leveraging the XRP Ledger for Institutional Integrations
Ripple Prime will merge the platform’s usage as a prime brokerage with Ripple’s leadership in blockchain-based payments, stablecoin issuance, and custody, positioning Ripple Prime as a possible breadwinner for the Ripple ecosystem outside of XRP.

One of Ripple Prime’s advantages lies in its ability to leverage the XRP Ledger to streamline financial operations. The XRP Ledger’s speed, scalability, and low transaction costs make it ideal for institutional-grade settlements and liquidity management.
From Ripple on integrating XRP:
The synergies between the two businesses made this acquisition a logical next step to support institutional adoption of digital assets. Ripple’s foundational digital asset infrastructure across payments, crypto custody and stablecoin, as well as the use of XRP, will complement the services offered within Ripple Prime.
Ripple Prime can utilize the ledger to facilitate instant cross-border settlements and gain acsess to RLUSD on-chain.
As Ripple integrates blockchain technology deeper into prime brokerage workflows, the XRPL could underpin tokenized collateral and programmable finance, allowing institutions to automate traditionally manual processes.
This integration will not only optimize costs but also improve transparency by bringing actions on-chain. Hidden Road is known as a traditional platform. With the service now integrated into Ripple, it’s become an advertisement to firms on how powerful crypto is becoming and why TradFi needs to pay attention.

Could RLUSD Become the Institutional Backbone of Ripple Prime?
A key asset in Ripple Prime is RLUSD, Ripple’s US dollar–backed stablecoin. Currently, RLUSD is used as collateral across various prime brokerage products, and several derivatives clients already hold balances in RLUSD.
RLUSD has rapidly gained institutional trust due to its transparency and connections to Ripple, which in turn is linked to multiple banks and institutions around the world. The stablecoin has become competitive with Trump-backed World Liberty Finanical‘s USD1, Circle’s USDC, Tether’s USDT, and USAT.
In the near future, RLUSD could play a more central role within Ripple Prime’s ecosystem. By using RLUSD for collateralization, settlement, and liquidity management, institutions can bypass inefficiencies from traditional fiat solutions. Everything can be made a lot easier.
Ripple Prime represents a strategic evolution of Ripple’s mission to bring blockchain technology to the heart of global finance and create an internet of value.
Together with the XRP Ledger and RLUSD, Ripple Prime is bringing institutions a secure, compliant, and efficient bridge between traditional and digital markets with advantages that would be hard to find anywhere else.
