Carbon Credits to Be Minted on Hedera HBAR as Dovu Tokenizes $1.1b in Assets AllinCrypto May 25, 2025
DOVU, a system for tokenizing and managing ecological credits, has announced the VCH Carbon Development Program.
In partnership with Veteran’s Carbon Holdings, $1.1 billion in assets will be tokenized via the DOVU Digital Asset Warehouse.
Credits for assets will all be minted on Hedera Hashgraph. The news comes as new AI integrations arrive on HBAR.
DOVU and Veteran’s Carbon Holdings minting carbon credits on Hedera Hashgraph
DOVU has announced the tokenization of $1.1 billion in assets, coming to the DOVU Digital Asset Warehouse.
As part of a 9 year contract with Veteran’s Carbon Holdings, Soil Carbon assets will be minted on Hedera with carbon credits also being verified by BCarbon.
DOVU has called it a game changer for climate finance and agriculture. Veteran’s Carbon Holdings is host to sustainable agricultural practices.
The for-profit company began over 20 years ago, and in 2024, it introduced its carbon program. From Veteran’s Carbon Holdings:
All verified carbon credits generated by the program will be minted as digital assets by DOVU, a leading web3 sustainability platform. Leveraging Hedera’s Guardian framework, DOVU OS ensures each credit is fully traceable.
According to Katie Lorenz, the President of Veteran’s Carbon Holdings, Hedera and DOVU’s role in Veteran’s goals is pivotal for gaining the infrastructure to “scale globally” while being able to trace revenue.

Hedera Hashgraph and AI integrations
Meanwhile, Hedera Hashgraph has been introducing new AI tools to the HBAR ecosystem, including the Hedera AI Studio.
ElizaOS’s Hedera plugins have been integrated into native tools that allow the Hedera network to accompany AI web developers and AI agent creators.
One of the Hedera Foundation’s goals for 2025 is to bring more AI integrations and abilities to the ecosystem.
