Hedera & DLT Earth Unveil $200K Bounty for Climate Research Programme AllinCrypto May 3, 2025
Utilizing Hedera Guardian, the DLT Earth Methodologies Bounty Programme is underway with $200k up for grabs as part of the global initiative for advancing climate research.
The DLT bounty programme calls for participants to contribute to the development of verifiable, transparent climate solutions, powered by Hedera’s distributed ledger technology.
Launched in collaboration between DLT Earth, Exponential Science, and the HBAR Foundation’s Sustainable Impact Fund, the bounty programme aims to change the way the world combats climate change.

As part of a collaboration between DLT Earth, the HBAR Foundation, and others, builders are being called to develop ways of tracking and combating climate change based on various methodologies.

Those looking to snatch the bounty must develop and digitize ways of tracking waste management, biodiversity metrics, and supply chain emissions, utilizing Hedera.
Successful participants will be granted a $200,000 grant over the course of two years on behalf of DLT Earth.
Overall, the programme aims to create a strong, robust collection of verifiable methodologies that can be developed and traced utilizing Hedera Hashgraph’s Hedera Guardian, a decentralized verification tool built for climate sciences.
By making the process open-source and decentralized, DLT Earth wants organizations, big and small, to contribute and help discover new practices to help drive real-world solutions for fighting climate change.
AI innovation and climate research: Hedera in 2025
Alongside collaborations with DLT Earth, the Hashgraph ecosystem plans to expand in 2025 with the launch of HashSphere, a network for institutional onboarding.
There has also been news of Greg Bell of the HBAR Foundation meeting with Dr. Ronnie Chatterji, Chief Economist at OpenAI, and Mark Esposito, an AI researcher at Harvard, for discussions on EQTY Lab’s Verifiable Compute.
With Hedera Guardian tackling climate change challenges, Hedera’s ventures in AI and institutional bridging continue in the backdrop.
